Abstract
Il progetto realizzato in partnership con KerrHawe SA vede l’analisi del reparto produttivo di paste per profilassi dentale ad uso dentistico, che l’azienda produce, confeziona e distribuisce a livello internazionale con il proprio brand. L’obiettivo del progetto è stato quello di definire lo stato AS-IS del reparto, analizzandolo nelle sue parti e valutando come i progetti di rinnovamento interni ad esso stiano migliorando le sue performance. In appoggio a tale analisi è stato impiegato il software di simulazione Arena by Rockwell, che ha permesso di modellare nel dettaglio il processo di funzionamento e ottenere in output i KPI che definiscono le sue prestazioni. Con questo progetto si presenta quindi un’analisi del reparto nelle sue diverse configurazioni quali passato, presente e un ipotetico futuro, confrontando i diversi risultati delle loro simulazioni. L’azienda ha richiesto inoltre di mostrare e valutare le criticità presenti nel reparto, dando nuovi spunti per un miglioramento continuo, perseguibile tramite progetti a breve o lungo termine. Il progetto risulta così avere come obiettivo sia la definizione dello stato del reparto ad oggi, sia il suggerimento di ulteriori modifiche volte al miglioramento per mantenere la produzione competitiva. Abstract The project carried out in partnership with KerrHawe SA includes an analysis of the production department of dental prophy pastes for dental use, which the company produces and distributes internationally under its own brand. The objective of the project was to define the AS-IS status of the department, analyzing it in its parts and evaluating how the internal renovation projects are improving its performance. To support this analysis the simulation software Arena by Rockwell was used, which allowed to model in detail the operating process and obtain in output the KPIs that define the performance of it. This project, therefore, presents an analysis of the department in its various configurations such as past, present and a hypothetical future, both qualitatively and quantitatively. The company also requested to showing and evaluating the critical points of the department and giving new ideas for continuous improvement, which can be achieved through projects short or long-term. The project is thus aimed both at defining the state of the department to date and at suggesting further changes aimed at improvement in order to maintain competitive production.
